Role Summary

Responsible for generating, managing, and closing residential HVAC replacement opportunities through disciplined sales processes, accurate system recommendations, and strong technician collaboration. This role combines in-home consultations, prospecting, customer lifecycle management, and strict CRM accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Appointments & Consultations

  • Perform full diagnostic discovery and customer interview during each appointment.
  • Complete capacity verification for every quote, including: home square footage, age/construction characteristics, existing equipment efficiency, and filtration/airflow restrictions
  • Create clear, credible proposals with visual aids and financing options.
  • Handle follow-up, objection responses, and lifecycle communication through close.

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Update all leads daily using required pipeline stages: Lead/Prospect → Appointment Set → Appointment Completed → Estimate → Proposal → Proposal Sent → Closed/Won
  • Maintain complete customer profiles and support weekly management reviews.

Technician Collaboration

  • Coordinate with technicians on repair calls when equipment is 10–20+ years old or repair costs exceed ~$1,000
  • Participate in ride-alongs to identify failing equipment and model communication.
  • Support PM visit reviews to identify replacement opportunities.

Required Daily/Weekly Sales Activities

  • Customer reactivation and competitive feedback calls.
  • “Happy Calls” for satisfaction, review requests, and referrals.
  • Service agreement sales on every visit.
  • Non-urgent product sales: IAQ, filtration, smart thermostats.
  • Networking and partnership development (real estate, trades, remodelers)
  • Ongoing training, financing mastery, and continuous skill improvement.

Prospecting & Hunter Activities (if applicable)

  • Conduct cold touch activities, digital engagement (Nextdoor/Facebook), MLS monitoring, and neighborhood route scouting.
  • Perform 15 cold touches/day, 5 new CRM entries, 25–40 field attempts/week, and 2 networking meetings/week
  • Track all hunter KPIs: attempts, conversations, appointment conversions, estimate conversions, and close rate.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain HVAC system efficiency, staging/modulation, load requirements, and airflow considerations.
  • Confident presentation of financing options and monthly payment structures.
  • Excellent communication and customer experience skills.
  • High personal discipline with CRM usage, follow-through, and documentation.
  • Integrity-driven decision making aligned with “Doing the Right Thing.”

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of residential HVAC sales preferred; will consider related in-home sales experience. 
  • Ability to perform in-home evaluations and communicate findings clearly.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with field prospecting, cold outreach, and networking.
  • Ability to meet daily/weekly activity expectations and revenue targets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Close rate on both warm and cold leads.
  • Appointment completion rate.
  • CRM accuracy and daily pipeline updates.
  • Service agreement attachment rate.
  • Self-generated (hunter) lead volume and conversion metrics.
  • Customer satisfaction and review acquisition.

Your Opportunity:

We are seeking two distinct Project Manager/Estimator profiles to support our expanding project portfolio:

  • Service & Negotiated Projects: This role focuses on direct-to-owner projects and service-related contracts, requiring strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Plan &Spec Projects: This role focuses on projects bid through general contractors, demanding meticulous attention to detail and expertise in plan and specification interpretation.

Both roles will leverage our advanced estimation software to ensure accurate and competitive project bids and efficient project management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Estimation: Utilize specialized software to develop accurate and comprehensive project estimates.
  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of HVAC projects, from planning and execution to completion.
  • Client Communication: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Budget Management: Control project costs and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Mentorship (Experienced): Experienced candidates may mentor and train less experienced team members.
